When the company DraxComunications runs a secret mission sending four children and one adult into space for the first time, it was the chance of a lifetime for Liam. He is unusually tall for his age, and has a premature beard. This is why when the four children had been chosen, he decided to run for the “responsible adult” who was to accompany them. The four dads in the competition have to go through some training, and at the end of the three days, the children voted for who they thought would be the best dad. Of course it turned out to be Liam. The book starts when they are in space, after a slight error in calculations. The next part of the book is a flashback about what previously happened to the flight, and the last part is about how they get out of it.

I thought this book was quite good, with an entertaining storyline. Boyce really did very well to  imagine what the universe was like. In parallel to the main storyline, there is a lot about the father-son relationship, which was interesting because there were several different views. At some points the book felt quite childish, and somewhat unrealistic, but I think you just have to keep reading and pretend to believe in it.
