Airman is about a young boy named Connor. He has the fortune or misfortune; however you may look at it, of being born in the air. He grew up dreaming of flying. Then he gets wrongly imprisoned and there is only one way out, to fly.
My opinion of the book is mixed. I thought the beginning was boring as it took really long to get into any action, once it did get into action though it was quite good. It just took too long to get into it. The book is written in the third person and so you can’t tell how any of the characters are feeling. I like how Connor is inspired and really wants to fly and this is a sort of story of how the young boy accomplishes a life long dream. The book is sad and happy I think. There are quite a few characters and so it could be easy to get mixed up. The book is set in the past but the language is in the present. The other annoying thing is that it’s set in the past and they have lots of old things that the reader may not know about. This may mean you get confused, but it always sets you back on the right track.
