'I met Violet after she died. But it didn’t stop me from getting to know her'
Finding Violet Park is the tale of one boy trying to make sense of the world.
Lucas Swain is 15 years old and lives in Camden, North London. His father is missing, presumed dead, and has been for five years. Yet his remaining family is still failing to cope with the grief.
Meanwhile on a chance visit to a minicab office at 5 in the morning Lucas stumbles across the ashes of the long-dead Violet Park and makes it his duty to find out who she is.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book; it is well written, fantastically funny, and cripplingly sad.
