Apache

Reviewed by Blair Smith

“I will die proud, I will die free. But first I will live, and I will fight. I am Apache.”

Siki is an orphan of the Black Mountain Apache. Her mother was killed by Mexicans three years ago and her father lost in an ambush the winter before that. When Siki witnesses the brutal murder of her little brother Tazhi, she vows to become an Apache warrior and avenge her brother's death.

If you enjoy books that really challenge you, put you through a whole series of emotions and introduce you to a world you never knew existed; then read Apache.

However, the beginning of the book is quite slow. As you read on the story gets gripping and you get taken on through an exhilarating ride through battles and journeys as you follow Siki on her quest to become a warrior.

I rate this book 8/10 and recommend it to anyone 13 years old and above.
