The Road of the Dead

Reviewed by Dennis Perry

When the Dead Man got Rachel I was sitting in the back of a wrecked Mercedes wondering if the rain was ever going to stop. I didn’t want it to stop. I was just wondering.

The plot: Rachel, who is Ruben's sister, has been raped and then brutally murdered. In a rage, the two brothers Cole and Ruben set out to find the murderer and to put her body to rest and to peace.

I thought at first it wasn’t really for me. The book itself for me is open for criticism. By the end of the book the story turns from trying to find their sister’s killer to finding themselves getting beaten up and trying to run from their own death from Henry Quentin and his gang.

I really do recommend this book for you to read. I have to admit that at first I really did think that this book wasn’t for me judging by the title, but it is absolutely splendid.

I would give this book 9.5/10, the reason why I gave this book that rating was because at the start, if I was being honest, I did get a little bit lost in the plot. If you do read it I hope you had as much satisfaction as I did when I reached the end: good luck!
