The Road of the Dead

Reviewed by Edward Allan

I enjoyed Road of the Dead a lot, even though it had a slow start.

Ruben Ford is the main character, who can see things happen in different places. It just so happened that he had a vision of his sister being killed by the “dead man” And only a few days later they receive the news of her death.

Ruben likes to stick to his brother, Cole, whom inherited his father’s gypsy spirit for bare-knuckle fighting. That had put his father behind bars. Ruben and Cole then venture out to Dartmoor where there sister died, but everyone has something to hide.

The general plot of the book is two boys walking around with guns killing whoever had – as they thought – met their sister, a pretty good plot for  someone who enjoys a bit of bloodshed.

I would give this book eight out of ten losing marks for a slow start.
