Beast

Reviewed by Emily Mitchell

I enjoyed this book very much; it is believable, and it makes you think if there are actually man-eating ‘beasts’ out there lurking in the bushes of deserted areas. This book is definitely not for little children; the language is very strong. You need to be aware what happens in the real world because some kids don’t even know about care homes.

I read this book in about three days. It is a good read for anyone looking for a bit of gruesome truth, and some real emotion. The only bad bit of it was, it is repetitive about what he thinks in his head. Other than that, an awesome read.

I would recommend it to thirteen-fifteen year-olds. After that it would get too easy.
