Beast is a book about a boy called Stephen, a rough kid who has done many bad things, whose dad gave him an aggressive pet when he was a kid. Stephen stored the pet in an abandoned reservoir in a rusty old cage.

Over time, the beast grew and grew until it started to get too big for Stephen to handle, so he decided he would kill it; but he had no way to do it.

I thought this book was good but not great. It was a good read but sometimes repetitive, sometimes predictable and sometimes just a bit dull.
