Framed is a funny story full of humour and excitement, but I thought it was targeted for younger readers. Framed is about a family working in a petrol station and not getting enough money, and when some strangers drive through their town and up the mountain (where no-one goes) they decide to send Dylan up there; the men mistake him for someone who is interested in art.
Two chickens are named Donatello and Michelangelo
from the ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ and one of the men from up the
mountain mistakes their names for famous painters, and Dylan has to
pretend he is interested in the paintings to find out information for
why they are up their mountain.
Framed is an easy book to read, and I think
it is aimed for ages 8+. I think there was an interesting plot but the
ending wasn’t very good, and it was a bit predictable. I rate Framed
4/10. It took me a while to get into the book, but it slowly
gathered pace. It wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone over the age of
11.
