Framed

Reviewed by Ben Lipfriend

I liked this book. It is written by the author Frank Cottrell Boyce who won the Carnegie award last year with his book Millions. This book about a boy called Dylan, and a couple of very famous paintings, is written in diary form. The book is set in a very small mining village in Wales. A lot of the locals are leaving the village to help with the floods in London, and some of the priceless pieces of art are coming to the little village of Manod from an art gallery in London.

It is an easy read with funny little jokes along the way. I would give this book 6/10 because, as much as I enjoyed it, I thought that the author didn’t need to put in half of the pages in this book because they were irrelevant to the story, and I thought this book was for a bit younger readers of about 11 years of age.
