Clay

Reviewed by Jack Escritt

Clay is an interesting book written in the first person experience of David who is leading an ordinary life in the Catholic town of Felling as an altar boy with his friend Geordie; until a strange boy called Stephen Rose comes to live with his aunt, Mary Doonan (aka Crazy Mary). David is then hooked with Stephen for reasons he can not explain. Stephen is telling him  to do thing he would not normally do.

On the whole I would give this book a 9/10 but I think you really need to concentrate when reading it because if you skip a bit you won’t understand the book later on.
