This book written by Frank Cottrell Boyce, a former screenwriter. It has a very snazzy cover and is written in a good size. Even thought it has many pages this does not mean it is suitable for our age. The language is simple and looks as if it is for a much younger age.
This novel is about Damian who narrates the story and his brother, who come across a large sum of money. What to do with it is the next question. This is a main part of the story – and in less than seventeen days. Do they keep the money, give it in? Or spend it?
There is also a saint involved and he tries and persuades Damian to give the money found to charity. One day the secret just pours out and they can’t help from spreading it. The money affects them in both good and bad ways and shows how humans use money and how important it is to a lot of people.
I do think this is a very good book but the cover does look as if it is going to be a bit better; I also think that the ending is kind of spoilt and that they could have done something exciting with the money.
I am waiting to see the film of Millions as I did enjoy this and would find it even better on screen.
