The story was very easy to get in to from the beginning and it was not easy to put down as the reader never quite knows enough of the story and has to keep reading.
Anne Cassidy wrote it very well, considering that it was not chronological but was still easy to understand and the reader will not be confused by the different parts.
It tells the story of a girl trying to put her disturbing past behind her, with much sympathy. The novel focuses very much on the girl's new life that has been built for her and how just one simple thing can cause huge changes.
I would definitely recommend this novel to most mature readers, however if you are looking for a book to make you feel good I would not recommend it as it is not very light-hearted.
