After reading Heartbeat I can only say “I’m glad I have finished it.” The book had a poem format on every page and every chapter was a different poem that all link together to make a story.
It was about a girl called Annie who loved to run with her friend. The book seemed dull and I quickly read through it in two days. The front cover has an apple on the front with a bite out of it which has nothing to do with the book.
The book isn’t very long and is set in the present day. I would say the book is focused on a young audience, possibly people who don’t like long books and who like short stories. I wouldn’t strongly recommend this book and only give it a 6/10.
