To sum up this book in one word I would have to say, Terrible. The reason why I use this perhaps harsh word is the fact that the plot is not good, not good at all. This may be that it just isn’t to my style but still Ithought it was not good.
It is written in the style of lots of short poems which makes the small and boring plot even harder to follow and even more boring.
It is based on a girl called Annie and her hobby and craze for running. She likes to run alone or with her good friend Max. They do this every day, and for some odd reason with bare feet. That is virtually everything that happens in the whole book. The only other characters in the book are her forgetful Grandpa and her pregnant Mother. These characters also do nothing, and the most exciting thing that happens out of both of them is when her Grandpa forgets how to cook chicken ... thrilling!
The only good thing I would say is that it is a very short book so you don’t have to read it for too long before you finish it.
Overall I would say this is not a good book and I am very surprised how it got into the short list. I hate to be so negative but this is one of the worst books I have read.
