This is about Moose Flanagan who lives with his family on Alcatraz Island. This was the home of the infamous gangster Al Capone. The book is set around the 1930s.
This book is around two hundred and thirty pages long; it is quite page-turning. The paperback cover is a bit childish and does not do the book any favours but the paper is of excellent quality, with a nice colour to it. The cover of the book is quite funky and modern.
I have heard of Alcatraz, very famous for its prison. Moose meets other people on the island and there is a little business along the lines of clothes. I think the story is good but personally I would not have ended the book like that. It kind of ruined the whole story by giving it away too fast.
Overall I think that this book is very good though. The author put a lot into it and describes things very well. This book is also a lot better for our age unlike Heartbeat. It has more depth to it and a much better story.
