Al Capone Does my Shirts is a very good book and describes very well the frustrations and problems of living with a mentally unstable person and what people think of them. I think that the author has done a lot of research into how the prison was run and what it was like to actually live there. The ironic thing is that many people feel safer there than back on land in central America.
The book is set before the Second World War. This book is also very good at showing the problems of moving house and school etc. The story is a good and strong one with few (or no) flaws. Over all this book was an extremely enjoyable read.
