Malorie Blackman is doing only a couple of school visits this academic year – so 18 May 2004 was an absolute treat for all of us as she ran a Year 9 writing-workshop and held us spellbound with her anecdotes and very frank answers to questions.

In the afternoon she spoke, and read, to the whole of Year 8, and signed dozens and dozens of books as well as chatting to their buyers. A great day – thanks, Malorie!
