Bristol Grammar School's Carnegie-shadowing, 2004

This is the fifth year that BGS pupils will be shadowing the Carnegie Award. We hope that you enjoy all that our website has to offer in 2004. To explore, click on the links at the top of this page ... you'll find numerous book-reviews, pictures of work in progress, a photo-story, alternative book-jackets, and many pages about the visit of Malorie Blackman: reviews, photographs, sequel-predictions, and Malorie's own comments about book awards.

Two classes in particular have been involved in the Shadowing, and their preferences have differed: in the final analysis, one group favours Private Peaceful by Michael Morpurgo, and the other is confident that the winner will be The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.

The judges' decision, however, accords with neither of the above: congratulations, Jennifer Donnelly and A Gathering Light!
