The Fire Eaters (David Almond)

Reviewed by Annabelle Egginton

I have not quite finished this book yet but I am about fifty pages away from the end. So far I am finding it incredibly boring and I don’t think that there is actually a real plot to it. I am not far off the end of the book and I am still waiting for something interesting to happen.

I have taken a long time reading this book because I am not finding it interesting enough to read on. This is unlike The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time where I was always wanting to read on to see what happens because it grabbed me after the first few pages.

The Fire Eaters is a very boring book and if I were you I wouldn’t read it. I definitely don’t think that it will win the Carnegie award.
