This is a book that is written by the fictional character, Christopher Boone, who is the main character within the story. The book that he begins to write is a murder mystery about a dog called Wellington. Christopher finds Wellington lying on the floor with a garden fork through him. This is when he decides to track down the killer and write the book. Soon, though, he begins to uncover many other secrets. Even with Asperger's syndrome, Christopher is very talented at maths and science and he has an absolute photographic memory. He has one troubling problem which is that he cannot understand other humans.
This book is one of the most wierd, strange and 'different' books I have read. It opens up a new way of thinking about this world and how we work. It is a definite eye-opener even though it has not been one of the most enjoyable books that I have read. The plot to the story is very well written and is explained very well. For me, I found the book fairly boring but it was very interesting to see what it is like to have the disadvantage of Asperger's syndrome and how Christopher reacted and coped with it.
